Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully and ensure that you understand and agree to the contents.
1) We require the deposit listed on the ordering information form to hold your dates and confirm your reservation. Payment may be made by electronic bank transfer, money order or cheque. We will also require a completed and signed waiver form for each participant to confirm your reservation. 2) The balance of payment is due prior to the adventure start date as listed on the ordering information form or may be required at time of booking if short notice is given. 3) Cancellation Policy: In the event that you must cancel your reservation, we must be notified immediately. The cancellation policy for each adventure activity is listed on the ordering information form. Any cancellation charges will be based on the date that the cancellation was made. If the cancellation policy is stated as "inquire for details" on the ordering information form, the policy is as follows: If more than 60 days notice, deposit refunded, less $100 administration fee. If 30-60 days notice, deposit will not be refunded. If less than 30 days notice, deposit and any balance received will not be refunded. Please note that when possible, attempts can be made to change your reservation and transfer your payment (less $100) to alternate dates within the season, or to the following season if you desire. Your trip cancellation insurance should cover the entire cost of your trip. 4) If The Great Canadian Adventure Company is required to cancel the trip for any reason, a full refund of all money paid by you will be provided. This will be considered by you to be a full settlement. 5) All prices listed are in Canadian dollars, unless noted as U.S. funds (US$). 6) Bookings can be made up to the date of departure in some of the adventure trips, depending on space availability. Please note that service charges may apply to last minute bookings to cover costs such as courier charges or wire transfer fees. For best selection, bookings should be made at least 60 days prior to the adventure start date. 7) It is recommended that you obtain travel insurance that will cover you in the event of trip cancellation, family emergency, costs incurred as the result of delays and personal property losses. You should also have good medical insurance that will cover you in the event of emergency evacuation and treatment. We can assist you in obtaining insurance. If insurance is declined, we will require you to verify this. 8) Your personal flight/transportation connections should allow maximum flexibility regarding rescheduling in the event of bad weather delays or other unforeseen circumstances. 9) Weather conditions can vary in any season, so all participants should be prepared for inclement, rainy, cold and hot weather. We can assist you with clothing recommendations so that you come for your adventure prepared for the weather in the season you are travelling. Layering of clothing is very important throughout the year and good quality rain gear is recommended on adventures during the spring, summer and fall. If you are required to bring a sleeping bag, it must be suitable for cold overnight conditions. We will answer any questions you have about your adventure's required and suggested equipment. 10) Some of the adventures are very physical in nature and require a good level of physical fitness. The difficulty of each adventure activity is listed and if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. 11) If you have any medical condition that we (or your guide) should be aware of, please let us know. Special dietary requirements can often be accommodated with advance notice. 12) We can assist you in obtaining transportation such as charter flights and rental cars. These services will be subject to the terms and conditions of the individual companies. Full details such as prices and policies will be given when booked. 13) Accommodation at lodges, hotels, guest ranches is generally in standard rooms and based on double occupancy unless otherwise noted. Superior rooms and substitutions may be available at some establishments, however it may not be possible to meet your request. All room assignments are made by the accommodation's management and subject to availability. Accommodations are subject to provincial room tax and details will be provided at time of booking. 14) Trips that include meals do not cover alcoholic beverages or bar items, unless noted. 15) Please note that we make every effort to ensure that the information contained in our web site and documentation is accurate and up to date, however, please note that alterations to the trips and changes to the listed prices can occur without notice. 16) U.S. visitors to Canada will be required to show proof of birth or citizenship with a photo id. All other visitors must have a valid passport, visa or health certificates. Children traveling with one parent require a notarized letter signed by the other parent giving authorization for the child to travel. Contact Canada Customs directly for details.
