Whitewater Rafting
Few Canadian adventure activities provide the excitement and exhilaration of whitewater rafting. Canada's raging rivers and spectacular scenery combine to provide a memorable white water river rafting experience. First time whitewater rafters can choose from the calmer introductory trips while the more adventure minded can tackle a high tempo ride of rapids and whitewater thrills. There are whitewater rafting trips througout Canada, on rivers from Class II-V. Popular rivers include the Ottawa in Ontario, the Rouge in Quebec, the Red Deer, Kananaskis, Kakwa and Little Smoky in Alberta and the Kicking Horse, Chilliwack, Adams, Clearwater and Thompson in British Columbia. Just get your feet wet and go for a day of rafting or dive right in and take on a week long rafting adventure expedition. Whichever you choose, it is sure to be the whitewater thrill of a lifetime. The season runs from April to October, with best water volumes in June and July.
