| TESTIMONIALS |
"Here we are, a
bunch of people from different parts of the
world, ready to learn wilderness Guide skills.
We learned so much at Chilcotin Holiday;
shoeing, packing, horselogging, hobbling and
staking, back country and much, much more."
Claudia Koch British
Columbia
|
|
"The Guide School
was the best experience for us. We started a
Horse Trekking business in our country as
Guides. Since the weeks in British Columbia, we
make horse shoeing ourselves with our horses."
Conny & Axel Lohse Friemar, Germany

"Thank you so much
for all of your knowledge and professionalism. I
can't believe how much the safety precautions
and basic packing and horsemanship skills (that
I had learned from you) were like "second nature
to me when I hit the trail. I would recommend
this course to anyone."
Carole
Dascher Parson,
British Columbia

"It's great to be finally
doing something for a living that I used to only
dream about ever doing. The work is hard and
hours are long, but at the end of the day you
feel so good with what you've accomplished."
Colleen Murphy Golden, British
Columbia

GUIDE TRAINING CANADA
|
 |
 |
 |
| |
| |
 |
Each training
objective is achieved under guided supervision and time is allocated for
individual practice and study. The first half of the Program is based out
of the Ranch, where theoretical and practical training is provided in a controlled
environment. The last half is spent in base camps where the students have first hand
experience by applying their newly learned skills to the "real thing".
The programs are
intense and designed for individuals intent on learning and developing the basic skills, knowledge
and attitudes that are required by a professional Guide.
| | The training program is broken down
into sections such as, use and care of horses in the
backcountry, wildlife habits, industry regulations,
backcountry safety and survival. The program combines
theoretical and practical training. The programs are
all-inclusive which includes accommodation, meals, horses,
equipment, instructors and transport between Vancouver and the
Ranch.
