TRIP DETAILS

Trip Highlights
Day 1:
Meet at the office at 8:30 am where you will be transported by van to the trailhead corral at Mt. Norquay. Here you will meet your guides and your horses and start the 11 mile ride over Elk Lake Summit between Brewster Mountain and Cascade Mountain and down to Stoney Creek Camp.
Day 2:
You will ride towards the headwaters of Stoney Creek, returning to camp for the night. This area is a favorite location of Bighorn Sheep, who are often seen grazing in the high meadows.
Day 3:
Pack up camp and ride 10 miles to Flint's Park Camp. This camp, located in the centre of open grassy ridges topped with high peaks, has become a favorite of many riders. Wildlife is commonly seen and easily photographed.
Day 4:
A day ride is conducted from camp to Block Mountain, or perhaps to Cuthead Viewpoint. This area has much to offer the rider, photographer, hiker and fisherman alike.
Day 5:
Pack up and ride to Mystic Valley Camp. Guests will have the opportunity to observe the historic art of horse packing, using the famous diamond hitch. It is traditional to serve a real western dinner for the last night.
Day 6:
You will end the trip with a scenic 9 mile ride from Mystic Valley to the Mount Norquay Corral. Return to Banff about 5 pm.
