TRIP DETAILS

Trip Highlights
Day 1:
Pickup in Charlottetown about 9 am. After a short drive you will begin cycling to Green Gables. Explore the National Park beaches where wide a quiet roads make a wonderful ride along the dunes. Optional trip to Charlottetown to view the play Anne of Green Gables. Overnight in a local inn. Total distance 40 miles.
Day 2:
An easy day with time to enjoy the abundant attractions. Options include sea kayaking, hot air ballooning, windsurfing, shopping, golfing, jet skiing, deep sea fishing, cycling or swimming. Total distance 15 miles.
Day 3:
Turning inland through rolling farmland, you will practice your navigational skills, following rural roads towards a picnic lunch in a prayer garden gazebo, and eventually to a much quieter and more vaired east coast of the island. Overnight in a local inn. Total distance 55 miles.
Day 4:
Cycle to East Point Lighthouse, stopping enroute to swim and play on miles of deserted beach and dunes and to walk on the singing sands at Basin Head. Return via clay roads and blueberry farms inland as far as Souris. Total distance 35-50 miles.
Day 5:
Cycle as far as Cardigan for lunch, following coastal roads by fishing wharves and tidal estuaries. Afternoon transfer to Charlottetown.
