TRIP DETAILS

Trip Highlights
Day 1:
Meet in Ottawa in the evening for dinner with your fellow travelers and staff, and a briefing of our tour. Overnight in Ottawa. Dinner included.
Day 2:
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the morning flight by First Air to Iqaluit (Frobisher Bay) on the south of Baffin Island. After some brief birding around town, we're off to Pond Inlet arriving in the early evening. Overnight in Pond Inlet. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Day 3:
We will explore the town of Pond Inlet and the surrounding tundra with the spectacular scenery of Bylot Island. In the evening, we will prepare for our departure to the floe edge. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 4 to 8:
Travel by sled to Bylot Island and the nesting cliffs of the murres. Camp for four nights on the island and at the floe edge where seabirds, whales and seals are numerous. After five days on the ice, return to Pond Inlet for dinner. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 9:
Today's activities include dogsledding on the tundra. Free time in Pond Inlet. Overnight in Pond Inlet. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 10:
After breakfast, transfer is provided to the airport where we board the flight to Ottawa. The tour ends upon arrival in Ottawa. Breakfast included.
