TRIP DETAILS

Trip Highlights
Day 1:
Departure from Victoria at 0900am to Juan de Fuca Marine Trail head in Jordan River (about 70km). Briefing. Expedition departure. Backcountry camping at Mystic Beach.
Day 2:
Expedition/Course (Juan de Fuca Marine Trail). Backcountry camping at Bear Beach.
Day 3:
Expedition/Course (Juan de Fuca Marine Trail). Backcountry camping at Chin Beach.
Day 4:
Expedition/Course (Juan de Fuca Marine Trail). Backcountry camping at Little Kuitshe.
Day 5:
Expedition/Course (Juan de Fuca Marine Trail). Backcountry camping at Paizant Creek.
Day 6:
Expedition/Course (Juan de Fuca Marine Trail). Debriefing. Pick up at trail end at Botanical Beach. Transportation to Port Renfrew (about 5km). Night in hotel (room may be shared with another candidate of different gender).
Day 7:
Departure to Valemount (about 850km) at 0730am. Briefing. Night in hotel (room may be shared with another candidate of different gender).
Day 8:
Transportation to Mount Robson (about 40km). Expedition/Review/Assessment (Berg Lake Mountain Trail). Backcountry camping at Whitehorn.
Day 9:
Expedition/Review/Assessment (Berg Lake Mountain Trail). Backcountry camping at Berg Lake.
Day 10:
Expedition/Review/Assessment (Berg Lake Mountain Trail). Day hike to Hargreaves Lake. Backcountry camping at Berg Lake.
Day 11:
Expedition/Review/Assessment (Berg Lake Mountain Trail). Day hike to Mumm Basin. Backcountry camping at Berg Lake.
Day 12:
Expedition/Review/Assessment (Berg Lake Mountain Trail). Day hike to Snowbird Pass. Backcountry camping at Berg Lake.
Day 13:
Expedition/Review/Assessment (Berg Lake Mountain Trail). Debriefing. Return to trail head. Transportation to Kamloops (about 355km). Night in hotel (room may be shared with another candidate of different gender).
Day 14:
Transportation to Vancouver (about 355km). Drop off at Vancouver International Airport.
