Experience Strathcona Provinical Park with your family on this exciting adventure package. With a personal guide leading the way you get to create your dream itinerary. Try something new, hone a skill, learn a new technique. Go for a hike, sea kayak or canoe. Camp overnight or base out of the lodge. Pack your day with activities or take it easy. It’s entirely up to you.

Family adventure packages in Strathcona Park

This package is ideal for families, couples and small groups looking for a lodge based adventure vacation for a fixed price. Hotel-room style accommodation, all meals and snacks, guiding and transportation are included. Activities include rock climbing, trying the high ropes course or zip lining, paddling across the lake in a sea kayak or canoe, navigating whitewater in a kayak or canoe, exploring the Strathcona Provincial Park wilderness on a day hike, learning survival skills, orienteering, geography and natural history, hiking to waterfalls, lakes, a bog or interpretive trails.

Suggested Clothing: Clothing suited to a variety of weather condtions, rain gear, hiking boots, sneakers, hat, bathing suit, towel.

Equipment Provided: All group equipment and boats needed for activities.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Campbell River, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. The lodge can be reached from Vancouver via a ferry ride to Nanaimo then follow Highway 19 north 145 km to Campbell River. Then follow Highway 28 southwest for 45 km.
Accommodations: Accommodations provided at lodge or lakeside cabins in Strathcona Provincial Park. The cabins are fully equipped with deck, bathroom, kitchen, electric heat and wood stove. They sleep 2-12, depending on the unit. Lodge rooms have private bath and are available with or without lakeview. Lodge has separate dining room facilities.
Meal Information: 3 meals per day included, from dinner on arrival day to lunch on departure day.
Guide Information: Guide/instructors are included for all scheduled activities. Our outdoor leaders have an intimate knowledge of the region. Most are graduates of the Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training semester programme and all carry Wilderness First Aid certification. Their enthusiasm and willingness to share their knowledge and love of the outdoors will ensure your trip is unforgettable.
