ABOUT THIS REGION  FLY IN FISHING LODGES - LAKES

Great lake fishing for rainbows on Moose Lake

Moose Lake is located 300 miles north of Vancouver, near Tweedsmuir Park, in the wilderness of the Upper Blackwater River and Upper Dean River region of British Columbia. Here, beyond the reach of highways and roads, lies what freshwater lake fishing dreams are made of. If you are an adventurer who wants remote wilderness lake fishing, this is the perfect trip. Both guided and unguided fly out trips are available to a variety of prime local rivers. These remote rivers are teeming with Rainbow, Cutthroat Trout and Salmon. Expect to catch and release 50 rainbows per day in these remote rivers, most in the 1-2 lb range, with an occasional four pounder.

Moose Lake Lodge is conveniently located near the Dean, Blackwater, and Entiako Rivers, plus three wilderness parks, making the fly out program exciting and productive. Your guides will assist you with daily fly outs, float trips, wading, hiking, wildlife viewing and horse rides. Rainbows, Salmon, Steelhead and Cutthroat abound in the twelve rivers we fish. Floatplanes, helicopters, power boats, rafts will put you where the action is, with mountains, glaciers, waterfalls close by. The lodge and cabins are handcrafted from local timber, rustic, but with all the necesary comforts. The fishing for rainbows, cutthroats and Dolly Varden is excellent all summer long. For the non-angler the main lodge offers plenty of other activities including horseback riding, flightseeing, hiking and wildlife photography.
