ABOUT THIS REGION  CYCLING ROAD TOURS

Bike trips through the Golden Triangle

A treasure trove of adventure, The Golden Triangle offers a diverse discovery of Western Canada, a serpentine cycle along the border of the provinces of B.C. and Alberta. Beginning near Banff, this easy to moderate six-day trip will have you rising to the challenge of mountain passes while allowing for plenty of cool downhill coasting. Averaging between 60 km/37 miles and 110 km/69 miles per day, your experience is ever changing as you explore three World Heritage National Parks, many historical points of interest and hundreds of miles of wildlife habitat. The real change in perspective however, is brought to you via a variety of other exciting activities: a serene soak in Radium Hot Springs, a wild whitewater raft trip on the Kicking Horse River, a kick-back kayak cruise on the Columbia River and for real high excitement – a glider flight over the Rockies! Appealing to true adventurers, this 296 km/184 mile ride is still suitable for beginners, the perfect way to unleash the explorer in you.

Bike trips through the Golden Triangle

A swim at the Radium Hot Springs will ease your body and mind. Hiking opportunites to great viewpoints and terrific campsites will round out your adventure. Moderate biking starting at Banff and winding through southeastern British Columbia and finishing at Lake Louise in Banff National Park. Known as the Golden Triangle, this bike trip is characterized by mountain passes, many flats and downhill stretches passing through many points of interest along the way.
