Seven day rafting expedition on the Fraser River

Explore the mighty Fraser River on this 7 day whitewater rafting expedition. Beginning high on the Chilcotin Plateau, you spend your days journeying down the river as it carves through the heart of British Columbia. Equal to any stretch of river in the world - action, hydraulics, rapids, activities, the environment and geography. Add to that historical and prehistorical sites and every day you have something new.

Seven day rafting expedition on the Fraser River

Experience the extreme landscape vistas and wildlife sightings in an undisturbed setting as you make your way through the turbulent waters of the Moran, French Bar and other canyon corridors. Travel at a pace set by the river itself as you move through this naturalists' paradise. Nights are spent camping on sandy beaches enjoying the relaxation of meals prepared over an open fire.

Seven day rafting expedition on the Fraser River

Season: July to August
Requirements: Sleeping bag, pad and tent (can be rented), flashlight, towel, toiletries.
Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle.
Suggested Clothing: Bathing suit, quick drying shorts and pants, t-shirt, rain jacket and pants, fleece pullover, running shoes, wool socks, hat, fleece jacket, long underwear, sandals.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Restrictions: Minimum age 8 years.
Equipment Provided: Power raft equipment, full rain gear, lifejackets, helmets, wetsuits, booties, waterproof bags, safety gear.
Transportation: Trips begin and end at the rafting base about 1 km west of Yale, 23 km north of the town of Hope on Highway #1. Trips depart at 7 am on Day 1 and return at 6 pm on Day 6.
Accommodations: Overnight in campsites along the river.
Meal Information: All meals from lunch on Day 1 to lunch on Day 6 are included. All meals are made with healthy, fresh ingredients, expertly prepared by your guides. They are happy to accommodate any food allergies, dietary restrictions and special events. Just give them some advance notice and we will plan accordingly.
Guide Information: Your guides are skilled professionals experienced in all aspects of whitewater rafting and are trained in Wilderness First Aid and CPR. They will be pleased to answer your questions about sights and places along the river so count on them to add that extra personal touch to your adventure.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures will range from 15 to 30 degrees Celsius.
Comments: Your guides can accommodate people of all ages and physical abilities keeping in mind that all trips are not suitable for everyone. Powered rafts are controlled by the guide who steers with an outboard motor at the rear of the raft. People are required to hang on with both hands through the rapids. With the ride not quite as rough at the back of the raft as the front, this trip is suitable for a wide range of people. accompanied by an adult.
