Two days of whitewater rafting on the Thompson

This spectacular two day whitewater rafting adventure on the Thompson River will awaken your senses. From Ashcroft to Lytton you will travel down 80 km of this beautiful river. Amazing desert scenery and many thrilling rapids such as the Devil's Kitchen, Cutting Board, and The Jaws await you on your journey.

A fabulous evening barbeque and private campsite on an island in the middle of the river highlights this terrific weekend getaway.

Season: mid July to early September
Requirements: Tent, sleeping bag and pad, These items can be rented for $18. For those sleeping double per tent, cost for the additional sleeping bag and pad is $7 extra.
Suggested Clothing: Bathing suit or shorts, wool socks, sneakers or wetsuit boots, wool or fleece sweater, hat and rain jacket. Dry clothing for after your adventure and extra clothing as required for the second day.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Restrictions: Children are welcome, but this trip is not recommended for anyone under 10.
Equipment Provided: Fully equipped rafts.
Transportation: Trips originate and end from the Lytton Hotel in Lytton, BC. From Vancouver travel east on Highway #1 to Hope, take the Fraser Canyon/Gold Rush Trail, still on Highway #1. Continue north to Lytton, about 105 km. Meet at the Lytton Hotel. Transportation arrangements available.
Accommodations: You will stay in tents at a private campsite on 'Fantasy Island' in the middle of the Thompson.
Meal Information: All meals prepared by your guides and served along the river. Saturday night's fabulous gourmet barbeque is a highlight that includes appetizers and fresh baked desserts.
Guide Information: All guides are qualified, first-aid trained and licensed. They will do their most to ensure your trip is safe and enjoyable.
Weather Information: In the summer, daytime temperatures average 15-30 degrees Celsius. The water will be cool, but wetsuits are provided.
Comments: Trips depart at 9:30 am on Saturday from the Lytton Hotel. 5% Park Use Fee applies to prices.
