Whitewater rafting on Toby Creek, BC

Experience the fun and thrills of whitewater rafting on this classic mountain river, Toby Creek. Toby Creek is born from high alpine glaciers capping the Purcell's. It carves a turquoise ribbon through mountain wilderness and steep canyons. This classic whitewater adventure offers thrills and excitement throughout the twists and turns of the Class I - III river section. It is great for the first time rafter or the seasoned professional.

This popular adventure is perfect for families and groups of all ages. Trips begin and end in the Panorama Mountain Village and river time is at least one full hour of whitewater fun.

Season: beginning of June to end of August
Suggested Items: Camera, sunscreen.
Suggested Clothing: Warm jacket or sweater (fleece or wool), bathing suit, towel and change of clothes.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Restrictions: Trip is suitable for kids 8 and older, minimum weight of 50 lbs. Rafts take a maximum of 8 people.
Maximum Number of People: 24
Equipment Provided: Wet suits and river shoes, helmets, pfds, spray jackets, neoprene gloves.
Transportation: Trips originate and end at Panorama Mountain Village, BC. From Highway #95 turn towards the town of Invermere. Cross the Columbia River Bridge and drive over the railway bridge. Directly after the railway bridge, at the Panorama Resort sign, turn towards the Invermere Industrial Park. Follow signs directing you to Panorama (18 km). Once at the resort, drive past the entrance and take the next left into the large gravel parking lot. You will see the Adventure Centre.
Accommodations: Not included in the package but available at local lodges, hotels and resorts.
Guide Information: All the guides are professional river guides. They go through vigorous testing before they are allowed to guide. They are certified in Wilderness First Aid and swift water rescue.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures will average from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius.
Comments: Prices do not include $3 river access permit fee. Trips leave 3 times daily, 10 am, 1 pm and 4 pm. Guests are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to the trip.
