Women's canoe trips in northern Saskatchewan

Paddling, portaging, navigating by map and compass, cooking over an open fire, and camping in the wild will all be part of the canoe trip experience. On the Bonding with Nature tour, explore intriguing mysteries of nature with a biologist and ethnobotanist who will accompany you on this canoeing trip. Women's canoe trips in northern Saskatchewan

Season: July to August
Requirements: Warm sleeping bag, sleeping pad and rain gear.
Suggested Items: Camera, binoculars, field guides, daypack, sunglasses, canteen, insect repellent, fishing gear, tackle and license.
Suggested Clothing: Hiking boots, sneakers, rain gear, warm clothing, shorts, hat. (Detailed list sent upon registration.)
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Restrictions: Flatwater paddling only - no whitewater.
Equipment Provided: Lightweight Souris River canoe and safety equipment, tents, waterproof pack, and group camping equipment.
Transportation: Return transportation from Saskatoon by passenger van to canoe trip departure point is provided.
Accommodations: Comfortable tent campsites along the river.
Meal Information: Careful planning goes into the menu. Balanced meals are featured including a complement of fresh fruits and vegetables, prepared over an open fire.
Guide Information: Certified and experienced.
Weather Information: Daytime temperatures in the summer average between 15-25 degrees Celsius (60°- 80° F.).
Comments: A modest degree of physical fitness will enhance your enjoyment of paddling and portaging. Beginners are welcome as paddling instruction and safety orientation are covered prior to trip launch. Days are planned to allow spare time to explore, swim and relax.
