ABOUT THIS REGION  FLY IN FISHING LODGES - LAKES

Great trophy lake fishing on Ena Lake

Imagine over 100 acres of remote and breathtaking rugged country for your next lake fishing trip on Ena Lake. This lodge is an artfully conceived island fly-in lake fishing lodge where the pristine scenery will sooth your mind and the fishing will energize your soul. The local terrain is carved around the irregular shoreline of Ena Lake with many sheltered bays and islands and includes a natural reef that runs adjacent to the island allowing fishing in all weather conditions. All other fishing is accessible within minutes (no lengthy boat ride just to get you set up to fish). In fact, you can cast your line into pristine water teaming with sport fish within a 5 minute walk from the lodge. Whether you enjoy trolling, casting, spinning or fly fishing, you will encounter a sizzling battle with 20 to 40 pound king sized lake trout, champion grayling, and fierce 25 to 50 inch northern pike. Should you desire to fish another lake sometime during your stay, the lodge offers 3 out-post lakes, with no fly out charges. There are no other lodges on the lake, therefore entitling you to the unique luxury of fishing alone in uncrowded and undisturbed waters.

Great trophy lake fishing on Ena Lake

There are three distinct fishing seasons in northern Saskatchewan. The spring and early summer season from early June to early July is prime pike fishing time. During this time of year the pike and lake trout start to move into the shallow water. Northern pike move into the shallow weed beds, often only one-two feet deep. This is an excellent time to fly-fish for the huge Northerns. Lake trout also move into the shallower water of reefs and rocky shorelines. Mid summer is mid July to late August and this is a great time to experience trophy lake trout fishing. While pike stay shallow this time of year, the lake trout move deeper and once you find the proper depth you will be hitting trout throughout the lake at that depth. The late summer and fall season goes from the last week of August to freeze up. This time of year all the fish start moving back into the shallow water again. Lake Trout are fall spawners so this makes for some great fishing as they are hitting the lures constantly. Pike are also feeding up for the winter so the fall can be some of the best fishing of the year. So pick your season, pack your gear and come to Ena Lake to experience the fishing trip of a lifetime.
