Whitewater rafting the Kananaskis and Bow Rivers

Join your guides for this exciting but safe whitewater rafiting adventure on the scenic Kananaskis River in beautiful Kananaskis Country. Enjoy the thrill and challenge of paddle whitewater rafting with a professional guide. Assist manoeuvering your raft through exciting Class 1 to 3 rapids, as you pass through some of the most spectacular scenery in Canada. This trip is designed as an introduction to whitewater rafting and is the perfect family outing.

Whitewater rafting the Kananaskis and Bow Rivers

The Bow River is a half day whitewater rafting tour that offers folks rafting thrills and excitement close to Banff, Canmore and Calgary. The Bow River Horseshoe Canyon section has spectacular scenery, big waves and Grade 3 to 4 whitewater. Located in the front ranges of the Rockies the Horseshoe offers some of the best scenery in the area. The Bow River gives a sense of remoteness complete with shale canyons and excellent opportunities to view large birds of prey. The tour will stop to let our guests experience an optional cliff jump along the way. A great tour for a quick whitewater fix and mountain thrill!

Suggested Clothing: Warm jacket, sweater, comfortable shoes, bathing suit, towel.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Maximum Number of People: 25
Equipment Provided: Rafts and equipment, helmets, wet suits, wet socks, life vest.
Transportation: Trips originate in Banff or Canmore, Alberta. Transportation to and from the river is provided. Banff and Canmore are located west of Calgary on Highway #1, about a one hour drive. Transportation arrangements available.
Accommodations: Not included in the price but available at local hotel, motels, lodges and bed & breakfasts.
Meal Information: Snacks and beverages included.
Guide Information: Your guides are professional and experienced.
Weather Information: Average summer temperatures are between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
