ABOUT THIS REGION  WHITEWATER RAFTING

Whitewater rafting trips on the Highwood River

This tour offers exciting whitewater rafting trips on the Highwood River just outside of scenic Kananaskis Country, Alberta. As spring descends on the Rockies and the snow starts to melt, the Highwood River charges, winding its way through spectacular canyons creating turbulent waters in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Your experienced guides navigate the river as it descends over class 4 rapids like 'Double Trouble' 'Delirium' and 'Staircase' making for an exhilarating ride in this wilderness setting.

Whitewater rafting trips on the Highwood River

Your guides launch this popular trip from the Riverside Camp and set off for the day's adventure down the Highwood River. Stopping along the way to enjoy a snack keeps energy levels high before negotiating the ledges and twisted canyons downstream. Your guides have opted to run 14 ft boats which means smaller boats than most operators use, offering a more exciting ride. After the adventure it's back to the base to get into warm, dry clothes before enjoying a delicious BBQ dinner.
