With its moderate climate, beautiful scenery and plentiful wildlife its no wonder why the Victoria area has been rated as one of the best places in the world to view the Killer Whales and other marine wildlife in its natural habitat. These tours are comprehensive wildlife viewing opportunities for guests to experience as much as humanly possible within the amount of time available. There is a diverse selection of wintering birds, seals, sea lions and playful porpoise with whom you will visit and occasionally you are graced with members of the Southern Killer Whale Community, Transient Killer Whales (mammal eaters), Gray Whales, Humpbacks, and Minke Whales. Fresh air, water-colour painting-like settings, a thrilling boat ride, diverse wildlife, these are all ingredients for a memorable marine excursion.

Suggested Items: Bring cameras, lots of film, extra clothing, water and perhaps something to snack on. Dry storage is available onboard all the boats to keep equipment extra safe on wet days. Feel free to bring additional protection for your camera equipment, i.e. dry bag or plastic bag.
Suggested Clothing: We recommend wearing layered clothing as the ocean air will always be cool relative to what you may be experiencing on land or in the harbour. On a hot day wear pants or shorts, a T-shirt or light sweater, soft soled shoes or sandals. On a cold day dress warm with long pants, long sleeved shirt, sweatshirt or jacket. As an option there are, Transport Canada approved, two-piece flotation suits offered on board all of our vessels.

Equipment Provided: Safest, fastest, most comfortable luxury whale watching vessels in Victoria (12 pax or 26 pax), hydrophone system with high output powerful surround sound system on board all vessels, waterproof jackets and pants (optional). Convenient ‘suiting up’ right at the boat (2 piece suits offered. No hot & sweaty 1-piece suits), free use of gloves, toques, sunglasses, sunscreen, binoculars, and blankets, free use of whale & bird identification cards on the boat, free Jr. Skippers ‘loot bag’ for the kids which includes: stickers, crayons, coloring book, free ‘marine mammal guide’ and ‘marine bird guide’ online.
Transportation: Tours depart from the Fisherman's Wharf in downtown Victoria. Free courtesy pick up available within city limits.
Accommodations: Not included in the tour but available at local hotels, motels, inns and bed & breakfasts.
