ABOUT THIS REGION  DRIVE-TO FISHING LODGES - LAKE

Rainbow trout fishing on Osprey Lake, BC

Relax and enjoy some great angling opportunites for rainbow trout from this wilderness retreat in Osprey Lake in the Okanagan. The resort is a lakeside getaway in an intimate pristine wilderness setting. The three local lakes are stocked annually with approximately 8,000 to 12,000 sterile Rainbow trout. The fishing is good to excellent most of the year with fish approaching 8 lbs. There are engine restrictions from electric to 10 hp max which makes it ideal for a relaxing afternoon of fly fishing. Besides Osprey Lake, there is also Chain Lake and Link Lake nearby, for a change of scenery.

Fishing the weeds in the west end of Osprey Lake from a float tube is great just about any time the water is soft! The boat launch is located directly in front of the resort at the north-west corner of the lake. The narrows are excellent for Chironomid fishing in the spring as the water is about 25 to 35ft. deep there. In the winter, the ice fishing is excellent and can be combined with other winter activities such as snowshoeing.
