ABOUT THIS REGION  BEAR VIEWING TOURS

Black bear viewing on Vancouver Island

View black bears and marine wildlife from this lodge on the west coast of Vancouver Island. This area offers some of the best black bear viewing opportunities in British Columbia, as well as sea otters and grey whale viewing. This lodge has the best bear viewing stand in British Columbia and the fall months of September and October are great times to be here for viewing the bald eagles and black bears fishing for migrating salmon in the river directly across from the lodge. Packages include a combination of ocean tours and land based tours. On the boat tours you may see humpback and grey whales, orcas on occasion, sea otters, sea lions, seals, bald eagles and a variety of marine birds. Land based tours include the bears, elk, deer and a lucky few may even see a cougar or wolf. These land tours also allow you to explore some the local rainforest on foot and visit some of the beautiful lakes and rivers in the area.
