Beautiful wilderness lodge on Frances Lake

Situated in beautiful southeastern Yukon on the secluded shore of Frances Lake, this adventure wilderness lodge offers visitors unparalleled opportunities for exploring the foothills of the northern part of the Rocky Mountain range or just relaxing in the solitude of this unrivalled natural setting. Cosy up in your own private log cabin on the secluded shore of beautiful Frances Lake. Your guide will take you to remote places, nourish your spirit with scenic splendour, and bring you close up to abundant varieties of wildlife. Guests-and there are only a few at a time-are treated to amenities that include a private sauna, hot showers, and great meals.

Season: June 11, 2012 to September 20, 2012
Requirements: Fishing license, fishing tackle. License can be purchased at the lodge. Tackle is available for rent.
Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle.
Suggested Clothing: You will require good shoes and weatherproof clothing, including jacket and pants.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Restrictions: Minimum of 2 nights.
Maximum Number of People: 10
Equipment Provided: Use of fishing boats, canoes and kayaks and equipment.
Transportation: Trips begin and end at the Frances Lake boat ramp on the Campbell Highway, about 2 hours north of Watson Lake, Yukon. Transportation to and from Whitehorse can be arranged for an additional cost.
Accommodations: The lodge consists of the main log cabin and five lovingly-crafted log guest cabins. Guest cabins strike the perfect balance between rustic pleasures and modern comforts: wood stoves and kerosene lamps provide heat and light the old-fashioned way, yet each cabin is equipped with portable flush toilets and comfortable beds with fresh linen and warm quilts. All guest cabins afford beautiful lake views and are within easy walking distance of the main lodge. Guests are welcome anytime to peruse the many northern books in the library or simply relax in the bright, cozy living room. Guests also have access to hot showers and a four-person sauna located in a separate log building.
Meal Information: All meals included. Meals are served in the main lodge—where the local chef will gladly prepare your catch for dinner. The lodge is licensed and alcoholic beverages are available.
Guide Information: No extra cost for a guide at the lodge. Daily excursions with a licensed wilderness guide include boating, fishing, hiking, photography, sightseeing, canoeing and kayaking.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures in the Yukon will range from 10 to 25 degrees Celsius.
Comments: Children 5-15 years old sharing a cabin with their parents receive a 50% discount. Single occupancy rates also available.
