White Sturgeon fishing in British Columbia means excitement and "wrestling" with pre-historic giants. Nothing could be more exciting than Sturgeon Fishing in British Columbia with challenging the "Great White Sturgeon"… the largest freshwater fish in the world! With a season that runs year round, these prehistoric looking fish can reach weights of up to 1,800 lbs. The largest White Sturgeon ever caught in recent history, estimated at 1500 lbs., was caught last season in the Fraser River just below this lodge. The length of this "monster" was about 14 feet. The space in between the eyes of this unbelievable catch measured 35 inches. The Sturgeon has been protected in these rivers and as a result they are plentiful. While the average catch is 50-200 lb., we have landed some very big ones over 1,000lbs. The largest ones we fought were well over 1,000 lbs. in weight and up to 14 ft. in size. When hooked, these fish have the pulling force of a submarine. And when the sturgeon launches itself out of the water like a missile, you have a fishing experience you will never forget.
