First class fishing lodge on the Fraser River

The Fraser River offers excellent fishing for salmon, sturgeon, steelhead and trout. White Sturgeon fishing in British Columbia means excitement and "wrestling" with pre-historic giants. Nothing could be more exciting than Sturgeon Fishing in British Columbia with challenging the "Great White Sturgeon"… the largest freshwater fish in the world! With a season that runs year round, these prehistoric looking fish can reach weights of up to 1,800 lbs. Steelhead Fishing British Columbia in the Fraser Valley offers good angling opportunities for winter and summer run Steelhead. The Vedder and Chehalis River's both contain good stocks of winter Steelhead while only the Chehalis River has summer runs. The Vedder River is the main steelhead river in the Fraser Valley, 6 to 10,000 fish can be expected to return on an average year. Many Steelhead are caught each year in the 15 to 20 lb. range, with an estimated average weight being 10 to 12 lb. Trout fishing in British Columbia, is one of the best kept secrets. Your guides take you into beautiful lakes and rivers, surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks. One group was fascinated, as while they were fishing for Trout, a large black bear was feasting right by the shoreline. The most successful fishing methods for Trout fishing, are spin, bottom and fly fishing. Salmon Fishing in British Columbia is unique in the entire world. Nowhere can a larger number of migrating salmon be found than in the Fraser River and its tributaries. 30 million plus salmon per season is not unusual. Chinook, Coho, Sockeye, Chum and Pink can all be found in the local rivers at different times of the year.
