ABOUT THIS REGION  DOGSLEDDING

Dogsledding day tours in the Yukon

Experience a day of dogsledding on your next trip to the Yukon. Your guides offer two options for day-trips. Both feature an introduction to sled-dogs in the Yukon and the opportunity to drive your own dog team. When you arrive you will meet your very friendly huskies and learn about the equipment and the art of driving a dog team. One of your guides will accompany you on your run to give you training, support and assistance. You will learn how to harness and "bootie" your team, how to brake, balance and steer the sled, and other basic skills.

Dogsledding day tours in the Yukon

The half day tour is the shortest trip running approximately 2 to 3 hours which includes 60 to 90 minutes of mushing (sledding). This tour will take you along the Takhini River to the historic Dawson Trail (part of the official Yukon Quest trail). The area is very picturesque and secluded. The full day trip is one of our most popular tours. Over 6 to 7 hours this adventure follows the Dawson Trail and includes lunch by the river around a fire while your guide shares their knowledge about dogs and Yukon history.
