ATV tours exploring the West Kootenays of BC

Relax as you escape on a wilderness adventure, riding the ATV trails. Experience wilderness travel from the comfort of your own ATV, creating a new meaning for “wilderness vacation”. The historic mine tour will allow you to take a step back in time as you visit the historic mines of the spectacular Sheep Creek valley. At an elevation of 6300 feet, Reno Mountain offers breathtaking scenery of the valley. You’ll see wildlife, beautiful flora and experience nature on your relaxing ride. The last mine you will see on the tour is the Motherlode Mine. It is about a twenty-minute ride around the mountain, and passes another tram bucket barely visible through the trees. The Motherlode Mine hangs off the mountain over looking Sheep Creek, and offers some amazing scenery from its viewpoint. From here, it is a leisurely forty-five minute ride back to the truck. On the C&W Railway ride you will follow the tracks of the Columbia and Western Railway built at the turn of the last century. Visit the pristine Lower Arrow Lake before heading off to the spectacular Keenlyside Dam. You’ll travel through tunnels and across trestles with views providing world-class photo opportunities. Specialty tours that include GPS Mapping techniques, photography lessons, painting lessons and even a relaxing massage in the wilderness can be arranged for groups of 4 or more.
