ABOUT THIS REGION  FLY IN FISHING LODGES - RIVERS

Arctic char river fishing in northern Quebec

Experience the fishing trip of a lifetime at this Arctic char fishing lodge on the Barnoin River in Ungava Bay, Quebec. If you have always dreamed of a place where you could catch char on every cast, this is the trip for you. A place with spectacular waterfalls, crystal clear water and secluded river pools. You will find the Ungava Bay region to be the most productive Arctic char fishing in Canada. If you've never been lucky at fishing, it's probably because you never tried Arctic char fishing. This unique V.I.P. fishing trip will allow you to fish Arctic char and visit some of our very best kept secret places. Come test yourself against a real fighter, the Arctic char. These powerful swimmers migrate up the mighty rivers and leap the rocky falls to reach the spawning grounds where they are hatched. Take a deep breath when an Arctic char takes the lure. You are in for a battle of skill against pure instinct. Your guides will lead you to some great fishing pools and show you how to catch 10 to 15 lbs. Arctic char on fly or casting rods.

In addition to fishing you have the option of including an exceptional photo air safari over the Torngat Mountain in your package. Combine exceptional Arctic char fishing with a spectacular flight from the Ungava Bay to the Labrador coast, taking in sights along the way. Included in this tour is a stop at the ghost town of Hebron. Imagine a German Ghost Town on the remote Labrador coast. A three mile walk through tundra terrain leads you to Hebron, a mysterious ghost town which was wiped out by a epidemic of Spanish influenza in 1918. Walk among the wooden buildings imported by steamboat from England and Germany and find an old church in sculpted wood, such as those observed in places of worship throughout Old Europe. Walking to the ghost town you will see caribou in their natural habitat. In between the rocks you will find a multitude of wild flowers taking advantage of the 20 hour daylight. Keep your eyes open and you will discover hundred year old rock cairns and burial sites. On you way to Hebron, you will fly along the Koroc River and Saglek Fjord to observe some impressive waterfalls, canyons and rock formations.
