Snowmobiling lodge near Edson, Alberta

Enjoy some of the best snowmobiling in Alberta at this private and remote adventure lodge in the boreal forest, near the town of Edson. This is the perfect location for the snowmobile enthusiast, with access to some of the most remote boreal backcountry wilderness trails in the area. Bring your own sleds and explore the area on your own. Within several minutes by snowmobile you can be on the Golden Triangle snowmobile trail which runs for 100s of miles through the foothills of Alberta. The lodge also maintains 16 km of cross country ski trails on the property with access to Crown Land for the more adventurous wishing longer trips.

Requirements: Snowmobiles, helmet and equipment, groceries.
Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen.
Suggested Clothing: Warm coat, snowpants, hat, gloves, snowboots, long underwear, fleece underclothes.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Restrictions: No smoking lodge. No pets allowed. Resident pets on site.

Transportation: The lodge is located about 35 km north of Edson, Alberta. Follow Secondary Highway 748 for about 31 km, and turn right onto a logging road. Travel for 4 km and turn left. For the last 4 km, a 4x4 vehicle is recommended in the summer. Pick up service in Edson is also available for an additional cost.
Accommodations: This exclusive log lodge has 3 private bedrooms with one queen bed and private bathroom in each room. Two of the bedrooms have a two person jacuzzi tub and the third bedroom has a single jetted tub. A single cot is available in two of the bedrooms and there is a double pull out sofa in the library. There is a spacious living area with large picture windows, a full kitchen with dining area, small bathroom downstairs, sitting room/library on the second floor, washer/dryer, CD/stereo, VCR/TV (no television service), outside deck and BBQ. There is no phone in the home but a phone is available closeby at the owners residence and cell phone service may be available.
Meal Information: Fully equipped kitchen for cooking your own meals.
Weather Information: Winter temperatures average from 0 to -25 degrees Celsius.
Comments: Additional persons over 6 are an extra $20 per person per night.
