Salmon fishing from a lodge on Stuart Island

Reward your top employees with the ultimate incentive reward or plan your next meeting at this remote salmon fishing lodge on Stuart Island. The prime reason people visit this lodge is to catch big salmon. The five types of salmon that visit this area are either passing by or coming home to their local stream to spawn. Chinook (King), Coho, Pink, Sockeye and Chum salmon all frequent these waters. Beginning in March, guides follow Pacific Salmon, residents or transients, that are at various stages of their two- to seven- year life cycles. Using large covered boats, you will angle the "Inside Passage". The ride is smooth, the water is tame, and the conveniences are close at hand on Stuart Island. While fishing, you will experience the spectacular scenery of British Columbia. Towering peaks plummet into deep blue waters. There are spectacular views of wildlife at every turn. In addition to salmon fishing, bottom fish for lingcod and halibut are all plentiful.

For the non-angler there is plenty to keep you busy. Whether you view the whales in a guide boat or hike the many natural trails, the Stuart Island region will provide all the wildlife adventure you want. Help your guides as they harvest clams, oysters, crabs, prawns and mussels. From the lodge you can hike 45 minutes to Eagle Lake or take the full two-day climb to the top of nearby Mt. Estero. At 5,400 feet above sea level, the view is spectacular.
