Summer adventure lodge in the Rockies

Step off the beaten path for your next visit to the mountains and spend your next vacation at this remote adventure lodge. Located in the southeastern corner of British Columbia, this adventure lodge is tucked away on 7,000 acres of secluded forest, bordered by the majestic mountains of the Lizard Range and set on the shores of a picturesque alpine lake. This is the perfect setting for your next adventure holiday. From this adventure lodge, you can participate in a long list of exciting activities. Guided tours on horseback or on foot are available. The truly adventurous can try rafting or a guided mountain bike tour. The angler will not be disappointed with the excellent fly-fishing in the local rivers and streams and instruction is available. Complete custom adventure packages can be arranged for families, couples and groups.

After a day of adventure, reserve time for a massage and a delicious meal, or watch the moon rise over the peaks while soaking in the outdoor hot tub. If you still have some energy left, let the games room tempt you with a ping-pong tournament or a game of darts.

Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, fishing gear, sunglasses, sunscreen.
Suggested Clothing: Clothing to suit a variety of temperatures. Jacket, rain gear, hiking boots, long pants, shorts, t-shirts, sweater, hat.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate

Equipment Provided: Horseback riding equipment, rafting equipment, mountain biking equipment and fishing equipment for optional activities.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Fernie, BC. Fernie is located on Highway 3, about 300 km southwest of Calgary, Alberta.
Accommodations: Accommodations are in one of two lodges. The Red Eagle Lodge has private rooms wth two beds and private bathroom. Lodge facilities include hot tub, TV room with VCR, games room. The Cedar lodge features 8 deluxe rooms including spacious ensuite bathrooms with a soaker tub and shower, 2 queen beds and a deck off each room. The lodge also has 2 massage rooms, workout gym, steam room and a hot tub on the deck to soak your tired muscles after a vigorous day outdoors.
Meal Information: Rates include full breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
Guide Information: Guides are available for horseback riding, rafting, mountain biking, fishing and hiking.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures average between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Comments: Children 3 and under stay for free.
