On the Orchard to Winery tour, you begin this tour with transport to Kelowna Land and Orchard Company. Here you get fitted for bikes and then do a short tour of this orchard formed back in 1914. You will learn about heritage varieties of fruit and the changes that the industry has gone through in the last 90 years. Kelowna Land and Orchard Company has become a world leader in environmental technologies. Leaving the orchard you will cycle 22 kilometres of the rolling backroads of Kelowna to your destination for lunch, Summerhill Pyramid Winery. Here you will enjoy lunch from the menu before you do a tour and tasting. On the Flora and Fauna tour, your tour also begins with transport to the Kelowna Land and Orchard Company. You do a tour of the orchard on your bikes before continuing on your leisurely cycle. You will see many orchards and valley views along this scenic and informative cycle back to Kelowna. You will stop for a break and snack at the Father Pandosy Mission, the first white settlement site in the Okanagan. The route takes you down the Mission Creek Greenway Path. In late Sept. to early Oct. you will have a chance to see the Kokanee (fresh-water Salmon ) spawning. You will also stop at a heritage park and bird sanctuary. Tour distance 24 kms.
