River fishing on the Flower's River in Labrador

Nestled between the majestic mountains of northern Labrador is the Flower's River, which runs 50 miles inland from Flower's Bay. This stretch of wilderness is the location of this exclusive lodge, which provides world class river fishing for Atlantic Salmon and Arctic Char. These river fishing expeditions are for those who wish to experience a unique angling adventure. Accessible only by air, you will fish for salmon and char in the primitive, remote waters which provide scenic beauty, great fishing and calming solitude. The Flower's River has an abundance of Atlantic Salmon and Arctic Char. Salmon can weigh up to 25 lbs but average between 7-12 lbs. and char weigh from 2-6 lbs. Salmon flyfishing can be done up and down the river from a boat or you can walk and wade. Char fishing can also be done from a boat or right from the doorstep of the lodge.

This area is also home to the largest caribou herd in the world, the George River herd. Eco-minded individuals can go on sightseeing tours to view the herd and glacial icebergs or hike and experience the rugged coastline. The lodge is modern and comfortable, the perfect base for the perfect wilderness trip.

Season: June to early September
Requirements: Fly fishing tackle and equipment, hip or chest waders. Rod and fly suggestions available.
Suggested Clothing: Warm coat, rain gear, fleece clothing, long pants, shorts, t-shirts, hat, wool socks, sneakers, rubber boots, hiking boots.
Difficulty: Easy
Restrictions: Baggage allowance of 50 lbs per person.
Maximum Number of People: 12
Equipment Provided: Boats, motors, fuel, clean linens, licenses.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Goose Bay, Labrador. Package includes air transportation from Goose Bay to the lodge. Goose Bay is accessible by air from most Canadian cities. Transportation arrangements available.
Accommodations: The lodge is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences of home. The main lodge has private rooms, modern kitchen, dining room, indoor plumbing, two washrooms, shower, electricity, satellite television and satellite phone. There is also a newly modified chalet that sleeps up to 4.
Meal Information: Delicious home-cooked meals are included.
Guide Information: Guides are experienced and knowledgeable and dedicated to the safety and comfort of the guests.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures average between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Comments: Trips run Sundays to Sundays.
