Snowmobiling paradise near Revelstoke, BC

This exciting week of snowmobiling will get you hooked on mountain sledding forever. You will be treated to seven full days of guided snowmobiling in one of the most scenic areas in British Columbia. This area is known for its world class snowmobiling conditions and combined with fine dining, and comfortable accommodations, this will be an unforgettable trip. Using the lodge as a base, your guides will take you out on a different tour each day. Climb mountains, discover old cabins, ride across alpine lakes and meadows and take a dip in a local hotsprings. Your guides will teach you the basic skills of mountain snowmobiling and soon you will be riding up steep hills, jumping snow drifts and doing power turns in 3 feet deep snow. Enjoy lunch on the mountain each day and at night return to a comfortable lodge where hot tubs, pools and great food offer you a relaxed atmosphere.

The Columbia Mountains of western Canada are known around the world for their massive annual snowfall of 50-60 feet and incredible powder snow conditions. Great snowmobiling is guaranteed during the winter. Moderate temperatures, the extensive network of groomed trails and endless alpine meadows all make this a world class snowmobile destination.

Season: November 2009 to April 2010
Requirements: Some meals, optional insurance.
Suggested Clothing: Fleece underclothes, long underwear, hat.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Equipment Provided: 550 Yamaha snowmobiles equipped for mountain riding, helmet, boots, snowmobile suit, gloves, fuel, snowmobile certificate.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Revelstoke, British Columbia. Shuttle service between Calgary, Alberta, and Revelstoke is available for an additional cost.
Accommodations: Includeds seven nights accommodation in a new lodge facility.
Meal Information: Package includes 7 breakfasts, 6 lunches and 7 dinners.
Guide Information: Your guides are professional and knowledgeable about the area.
Weather Information: Winter temperatures average between 0 and -15 degrees Celsius.
Comments: Insurance of $30/machine is available to reduce own risk to $750.
