Canoeing and hiking trip into Algonquin Park

This multi-activity wilderness camping trip into Algonquin Provincial Park is an ideal holiday for those who like to see the world from more than one vantage point. You will experience the forest from both the lake shores and from the heart of the forest. This multi-activity trip includes canoeing into an interior lake where you will establish your camp. From here you will be able to access many scenic hiking trails in the park. Great photo and wildlife opportunities.

Canoeing and hiking trip into Algonquin Park

Only 3 hours north of Toronto, Algonquin Provincial Park is Ontario's oldest park and one of the largest in Canada. It boasts over 7600 square kilometers, with over 2000 fresh water lakes. Within its borders can be found deer, moose, beaver, wolves, bears and many other wild animals, all in their natural habitats. This park is so large and so varied that one end of the park can have entirely different weather from the other end!

Canoeing and hiking trip into Algonquin Park

Season: July to September
Requirements: Sleeping bag, flashlight, shoes that can get wet.
Suggested Items: Camera, binoculars, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen, pocketknife.
Suggested Clothing: Bring clothes suitable for a variety of summer weather conditions. Rain gear, warm jacket, hiking boots, long pants, shorts, t-shirt, long-sleeved shirt, hat, warm socks, sneakers.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Equipment Provided: Canoes and equipment, camping equipment, tents.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Algonqin Park. Transportation arrangements from Toronto available for an additional cost.
Accommodations: Accommodations are in tent campsites along the route.
Bed and Breakfasts in this area: Logging Chain Lodge
Meal Information: All meals are included.
Guide Information: Your guides are experienced and knowledgeable of the area.
Weather Information: Average summer temperatures range between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
