Superb snowboarding in the Whistler area

Just beyond the lifts and crowds of Whistler/Blackcomb awaits the ultimate high-alpine thrill. This trip will introduce you to the hundreds of runs accessible only by helicopter. Imagine carving through untracked powder, endless terrain and breathtaking scenery. The goal of this trip is to provide you with a truly memorable snowboarding experience and your mountain guides will be happy to lead you on a wilderness adventure of a lifetime.

Superb snowboarding in the Whistler area

Ride fast and ride the endless powder. With over 1,000 runs and 125 mountain peaks to choose from, your guides can accommodate all levels of boarders, from intermediate to expert. The runs vary from up to 5,000 vertical feet of wide open glaciers to beautiful gladed tree runs for the snowy days. Your guides will select terrain most suitable to your group's ability level, ensuring a safe and memorable trip.

Superb snowboarding in the Whistler area

Season: December 4, 2010 to April 25, 2011
Requirements: Snowboards and equipment. Floater and freestyle boards are recommended over carving or race boards for heli-boarding. Rentals available.
Suggested Items: Sunglasses, daypack, camera.
Suggested Clothing: Boarding attire should be made of water resistant, windproof and breathable material. Bring along fleece underclothes, goggles, gloves, toque.
Difficulty: Intermediate
Restrictions: Participants should be intermediate boarders in good physical condition.
Equipment Provided: Helicopter transfers, use of personal radio transceiver and powder ski tracers.
Transportation: Trips originate and end at Whistler Village, approximately a 2 hour drive north of Vancouver on highway #99. Transportation arrangements available.
Accommodations: Not included in the price but can be arranged at Whistler Village.
Meal Information: Lunches are served on the mountain. Other meals are not included in the price but are available at Whistler Village.
Guide Information: Qualified mountain boarding guides will accompany you on the trip. They will provide full instructions for conduct around the helicopters and on the heli mountain. Your guides are all trained in snow sciences and will evaluate the terrain selection for the day.
Weather Information: Mountain weather conditions are extremely variable. Temperatures average between 0 and -30 degrees Celsius.
Comments: $20 per person fuel charge will apply. Extra vertical is also available for an additional cost.
