ABOUT THIS REGION  CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Cross country skiing in Charlevoix, Quebec

Explore the Charlevoix region of Quebec on this country ski expedition. This is Québec's premier cabin-to-cabin ski tour in an area often referred to as 'the Switzerland of Québec'. It starts north of Baie St. Paul, which is 120 km (75 miles) northeast of Québec city beside the Parc des Grands-Jardins and ends 100 km (60 miles) farther east at the alpine ski center of Mont Grand-Fonds north of La Malbaie. There are 6 wood stove heated cabins en route each separated by 7 to 21 km (4 - 14 miles) of backcountry skiing in the Charlevoix mountains with magnificent views and beautiful wilderness scenery. There is a herd of caribou in the Parc des Grand-Jardins. Hopefully, you will have lots of sunshine to observe the magnificent rocky mountain-like views.

Cross country skiing in Charlevoix, Quebec

The skiing is not an end in itself. It is the means by which to observe the beautiful views and remarkable scenery of the Charlevoix region. Your supplies will be moved for you each day so you only have to carry a daypack on the trail and won't be eating 'freeze-dried foods' every day. Speed is not important. This tour is designed to provide a good healthy outdoor experience.
