Red Deer River whitewater rafting adventures

Come whitewater rafting on the Red Deer River with the people that pioneered rafting its rugged waters 27 years ago. Your experienced guides will take you through some of the best rapids in Alberta. This region in the front ranges of the southern Rocky Mountains combines true wilderness with raging white water. You can raft for a half day or stay overnight for a full adventure experience.

The riverside camp offers rustic and comfortable accommodations where you will feel right at home.

Season: June to late August
Requirements: Sleeping bag and pillows for overnight trips.
Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent.
Suggested Clothing: Warm clothing suited to a variety of weather conditions, hat, rain gear, swim suit, towel, sneakers, hiking boots, dry clothing for after the rafting.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Equipment Provided: Wetsuits, booties, helmets, lifejackets, raft and equipment.
Transportation: Trips originate and end on the upper Red Deer River southwest of Sundre, Alberta. Map provided at time of booking. The camp is located about a 2.5 hour drive from Calgary and a 3.5-4 hour drive from Edmonton.
Accommodations: Overnight accommodations in rustic cabins included as listed below. The camp has a covered eating area, fire pit, pit toilets. Sauna and outdoor recreation facilities on site.
Meal Information: Delicious home cooked meals are provided.
Guide Information: Experienced and certified. Your guide has rafted on this river for over 27 years.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures average between 15-30 degrees Celsius.
Comments: Class 3+ rapids. Low water levels may occur by late August or early September. Peak water levels are in June and July.
