ABOUT THIS REGION  CYCLING ROAD TOURS

Bike trips along the south shore of Nova Scotia

Come and explore the secrets of Nova Scotia's south shore on one of these guided bike trips. The quiet roads of this area, perfect for biking, wind through a coastal paradise of fishing villages, secluded coves and some of the nicest white sand beaches in North America. It is rumoured that Captain Kidd may have buried his treasure here and the area is still a magnet for people seeking a different sort of treasure; fresh air, clean water and friendly people.

Bike trips along the south shore of Nova Scotia

You will spend the first part of this tour cycling westward from Halifax to Chester, Lunenburg and LaHave. Highlights along the way include an old whaling station, a fairytale castle, tiny fishing harbours, an inland river village, the Lunenberg Fisheries Museum and a river ferry ride. Along the way you will enjoy picnic lunches, tidal lagoon swims and a dip in a natural whirlpool. On the last day you will venture by mountain bike or on foot to the nicest and most remote beach in the province where you may see seals and other marine animals.
