This scenic kayaking trip includes a relaxing camping trip designed as an excellent introduction to the magic of northshore kayaking on PEI. You will have a chance to explore the island's famous north shore and Malpeque Bay, one of the areas richest birding areas. Experience the beauty of the barrier sand dune chain stretching across the mouth of the bay, the impressive red cliffs and pastoral landscapes. You will paddle past hundreds of shorebirds and view one of the islands cormorant colonies from this unique perspective.

North Shore kayaking on Prince Edward Island

Season: August 20, 2010 to August 22, 2010
Requirements: Sleeping bag.
Suggested Items: Camera, binoculars, sunglasses, sunscreen, flashlight, pocketknife, water bottle, daypack, waterproof bag.
Suggested Clothing: Clothing suited to a variety of weather conditions, rain gear, hat, warm jacket, sneakers.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate

Equipment Provided: Kayaks and equipment, camping equipment, tents, sleeping pads.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Charlottetown, PEI. Transportation arrangements available.
Accommodations: Tent campsite along the way.
Meal Information: All meals are included and prepared fresh by your guides.
Guide Information: Your guides are experienced, safety conscious and professional. They are trained in wilderness first aid and have many years of guiding experience in atlantic Canada.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures average between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Comments: Suitable for first time kayakers and families.
